The characters were interesting and suspenseful. Sebastian Conrad provides a detailed yet condensed narrative on the causes, features and impacts of Germany's imperialist venture. I loved that this book is also educational, and that it emphasizes the importance of native animals in the environment. "[Gone] will leave readers dazed, disturbed, and utterly breathless. but I walked away from her and I will always have that to hold on to. Goldner provides the answer that "it all" is different for each person, and discusses the paths women have taken to go from homemakers to "doing dishes, diapers, and million-dollar deals," with many choices in-between. Information is presented on composition (the artful arrangement of the elements of the scene within the confines of the frame in a way that excites the viewer), adding artificial light, and much more. It might have been an enjoyable little escape of a novella, but as with it's predecessor, there was too much use of gratuitous vulgarity(ie-the "f" word) that didn't need to be there and completely spoiled my enjoyment of what might have been an entertaining little book. This is the first book that had a dog as a main character who didn't get lost in the book, so many times I'm saying "what about the dog.
