When learning about "mushrooms and religion", I feel it's best to originate your viewpoint from a secular/unbiased platform. Morgan is a rich rancher, cowboy, a friend of Ashley's father who has asked and contracted with Morgan to discipline and guide Ashley into maturity, becoming a happy lady. What is understood by all, is that this is a game for high stakes and people are going to die. What intrigues me is that there is no doubt the author has had exposure to a certain demographic and this has no doubt fired the writing spirit.
