We do not see, nor understand, that poverty is a culture. Then, at the end, the horse's newest owner tells the boy that all is forgiven and no hard feelings for making you live like a common thief, eh. A fantastic story of World War I life, with wonderful insights from the front and within society. It's very similar in size to the "real" guide and is very informative, full of great pictures.
