I cannot overstate how much I love this book. Everything about it is cool! It's divided into two sections, which are cleverly split out so that the book changes orientation in the middle so each section feels like it's at the "front" if that makes ...

I didn't think a sequel could ever top the original, but this one does. That Elliot (human) was the mate of two gargoyle brothers, Francois and David. On the down side, the book is written at about the level you expect from a self-published book; it has very little sense of pace, there's next to no character development, the humor may manage to pull itself out of the mind of an horny thirteen-year-old once or twice.
